How to check your Toilet for Leaks

6/18/2014

Follow these steps and check for leaks in your toilet:
  • Remove the Toilet Tank cover and set aside in a safe spot, you don't want to accidentally break or crack the Toilet Tank cover.
  • Remove any bowl cleaners you've place in side your Tank, you want the water color in the Tank to be clear.
  • Using Food Coloring of your choice, drop enough dye in the Tank to give the Water a deep color.
  • Wait about 45 minutes and make sure nobody uses that specific Toilet.
  • Check your Toilet bowl, has any of the dye water come inside your bowl? If the answer is yes, you have a Toilet Leak.
